Then Sings My Soul Saturdays

I had my song post for Saturday all ready to go. And then this afternoon the KLOVE folks started talking about Mother's Day and played a Steven Curtis Chapman song I had never heard before. He wrote it one night on tour in tribute to his wife after he called her and she was exhausted, up late with one of their sick children.

Move over, Cinderella! I found a version of this song with some precious pictures of moms and their kids. Happy Mother's Day to all of my blogging mom friends. And when Mother's Day has come and gone, and you are overcome with the dailyness of life, remember, you are making a difference. . . .

ONE HEARTBEAT AT A TIME

I'm a bit of a SCC fan. (Which is like saying the Pope is a bit of a Catholic.) So I'm familiar with this beautiful song.

Trivia, but if you like country music, Sawyer Brown recorded this song a couple of years ago. (SCC wrote it, but apparently, he and Sawyer are friends, so....) It's got a completely different melody than the one you have here, which is interesting. But the lyrics are the same. They are so sweet. And so very true.

Oh goodness, what are you trying to do to me? I am going to be a blubbering mess before I even get to Mother's Day!

Loved this song.

Answer to your question: Mocha Lidna, I think it means, "I'm a bad mamma jamma." Does that clear it up?

This is my "had a bad day, not sure if I am making a bit of difference, just wanna wear real clothes and talk to adults, does anyone care about what I am doing AT ALL?!?!?!" song. Brings me back to reality every time. Makes my day!
Thanks!

This is a great song! It is hard to remember what a difference we make in the lives of our children after being up all night with them and all the other things we are doing. So glad you picked this song today.

I agree with Amy... this is the best song I've heard today. Had me completely in tears...and I love when a song can do that to me.

I got interrupted when I was here earlier, but I had to come back and comment. This song is so wonderful! It is just what we need to hear sometimes as moms! I need to be reminded that I am making a difference, even if it doesn't feel like it!
Thanks for posting this sweet tear-jerker! :)
Blessings,
Kimberly
