SIZZLE!

Today is the First Day of Summer.

Seriously.

So those first 19 days of June -- 13 of which reached 100-103 and another 4 which were 99 here in Central Texas -- were simply Spring?!

Oh. Joy.

Cute. I used to say something similar when I was in college near Buffalo New York, only it was Winter. Officially, Winter comes Mid December although snow begins falling in October. LOL.

And then there's me. I'm rejoicing that it's finally summer. We hit 85 yesterday, if my car thermometer is to be believed. Woo-hoo!

(It's a good thing we're friends! We can rejoice and mourn with each other as appropriate.)

In the Pacific NW, we have had what I have referred to as Junuary.
Not pretty.
But summer is here...it was about 84 today. Felt like a heat wave!

That is HOT! I just thought to myself tonight, that come January, when I'm whining about the subzero temps, someone should remind me of my bazillion masquito bites that come with summer...maybe I won't long for it so much :)

LOL! This is why Trevor went and bought a large, above ground pool Thursday.
