Fall into Flavor Finale!

There have been some great recipes shared these past few weeks during Fall into Flavor. I couldn't resist this one for the finale. Just the name cracks me up. A friend made these for my birthday one year, and they definitely live up to their name!

(BTW, if you have the Siesta Fiesta Cookbook, this recipe is in there.)

FAT LADIES

1 roll refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
1 6 oz. package chocolate chips
32 caramels, unwrapped
¼ c. half & half
1 c. chopped pecans (or your choice of nut)

Cut dough into ¼ inch thick slices and press into a 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes or until light brown. Cool slightly. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. Melt caramels in half & half and spread over top. Sprinkle with pecans. Refrigerate. Indulge!

Thanks, Linda at 2nd Cup of Coffee for supporting our cardiologists hosting this recipe exchange! Bring one of yours and share it here!

What a great name for a recipe! Very funny. They sound like sinful ladies - I hear their siren call now.

Mmmmmmmm....gotta try this one. How come MY recipe on my blog was right next to a google ad about fat and flat stomachs?!? Oh, the shame!

I wonder what the high calorie version would look like. Yum! Enjoyed reading your blog courtesy of Lid. Off to vicariously live through another recipe...Thanks for sharing.

Yummerlucious! I'll have to make the chocolate chip cookies from scratch though, since they don't carry that particular convenience food here yet. But this sounds like it would totally be worth it! :-)

Now look what you've gone and done: I was being good, resisting buying yet another cookbook...then you tell me this absolutely fun recipe comes from the one I've been resisting!

Oh, well...if I bake one thing from every cookbook I own, we won't have to repeat a meal or dessert for the next...ummmmm....40 years!

At least the kids won't have to fight for my collection after I'm gone ;->. There are enough to share with them and all the distant relatives. (I still have some of the Pillsbury paperback cookbooks I bought my first year of marriage---when the addiction began.)

Thanks for the recipe! I love the name too...it is very appropriate for me to make considering the AP report that made the news yesterday: our city is the fattest in the country [see it at FoxNews]. I think it was an unfair evaluation...but lately my scales have been telling me otherwise. ;->

I have Cher's "Dark Lady" song going through my head, only with the lyric "Fat Ladies laughed and danced and lit the candles one by one."

I made these last night for our homeschool mom's night out. They were SOOOO good. One friend looked me in the eye and said "you canNOT give me this recipe...you CANNOT give me this recipe until I am stick thin. Then I can only eat one of them!" LOL They are yummy!
