'Tis the Season. . .For Tasty Goodness!

There is a certain flavor combination that is practically irresistible to me, and it seems it is everywhere I turn this time of year.

Dark Chocolate + Mint = Pure Delight

My most recent temptations:

Pepperidge Farm Mint Milano Cookies Drenched in Dark Chocolate

Use the words "drenched" and "dark chocolate in the same sentence, and I'm there!

Oreo Limited Edition Old-Fashioned Candy Cane Creme

As if a regular Oreo isn't pure goodness on its own, now the filling is all minty!

Starbucks Peppermint Mocha Twist

A perennial favorite. This year they've added chocolate curls on top of the whipped cream. Mmmm-mmmm! It was all I could do not to run my finger around the inside of the cup when I was done!

If I overdose on these, maybe I won't be so tempted by these in January.

Yeah, right!

So what's your special can't-resist-it treat during the holidays?!

The dark chocolate and mint aren't appealing to me, but the Oreos and the coffee sure look good. I have bought a package of the Oreos for a special occasion. Are they really good?

They are. The mint isn't overpowering - delicate and just right for the oreo.

My favorite holiday treat is when Reeses comes out with thier special shaped Reeses Peanut Butter cup. I know it's not homemade but I can really make a dent! I'm waiting for them to come out with Reese's Christmas Trees.

Chocolate + Peanut Butter= no control

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I used to be an RN, too.

I don't know what my favorite treat is. It used to be chocolate covered cherries, but I try to lay off the sugar.

Mint and chocolate is one of my favorite flavor combinations. I'll pass on the coffee with mint or chocolate...ick. Sorry, I know you love mocha, but definitely not my thing.

I love peppermint bark, hot chocolate and our special family recipe of chex mix. Really spicy and really bad for you!!

I'm thinking I need to buy some of those Oreos! My hubby loves Starbucks, I'm a tea drinker, but also love a good cup of cocoa! I will try this one for sure! Their new hazelnut cocoa is really nice.

Enjoy! Shell

I've not seen those Oreos yet, they would be great for the Oreo balls I mentioned a while back!

Thanks for kick starting my craving for today! :0)

I had one of those starbucks last season and it was to good. I'm a cookie girl. My DD and I make several different kinds over the holidays, peanut butter (one of my all time favorites) and then we make a dried cranberry cookie with macadamia nuts and white chocolate chips that is to die for. But then it wouldn’t be the holidays without several batches of gingersnaps. We just polished off the first batch the other day.
Blessings
Robin

PS: I am enjoying your blog!

I cannot believe you run your finger so daintily around the inside of the cup like that. I shall not confess to what I do, but 'tis not so dainty. Never heard of those Oreos, but I must search now. Goodbye.
