Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. If you could work for any one government agency which would you choose and why? (if you're in the US here's a helpful list)

Why? That's a good question to start with! Why in the world would I do that? I looked over that list and all I saw was a big mess of bureaucracy! I saw a few I'd like to whip into shape! Or eliminate! LOL

2. How difficult is it for you to forgive someone who refuses to apologize?

Joyce is really meddling this week, isn't she?! And she probably won't even apologize, either!

Seriously, it is pretty difficult.

3. What is your favorite meatless supper?

Popcorn.

I don't do meatless very much for the family. We are Texas carnivores, y'all!

4. Wednesday August 10th is National Lazy Day...will you be celebrating? If so, tell us how so we can be lazy too.

I do not need to be lazy. I need to get my boy some things so he will not be sleeping on a bare mattress when he goes to college next week. But my girl's concussion has upended this week. And I have to be sure she stays lazy!

5. As a child did you have any special back to school traditions and if so, what were they? If you're a parent did you carry on those traditions with your own children?

I don't remember any back-to-school traditions except for the picture with my lunchbox by the front door. For my kids, we always went to IHOP for breakfast one of the last couple of days before school started. And of course I always took a picture of them on the first day of school!

6. Write a summer tongue twister.

Texas thermometers' torturous temperatures test torrid tempers!

7. Would you be interested in observing a surgery or do you turn away when the nurse brings out the needle?

LOL - I'm the one WITH the needle! I love watching surgeries!

8. Insert your own random thought here.

We have been at 100 degrees or higher for 24 straight days. And more before that, just not all consecutively. We started hitting 100 in May. We are in a serious drought. And the highs for the rest of the week are forecast to be 102-107. It. Is. HOT.

I'm with Auburnchick ... sounds like she has been on the receiving end of exploratory blood draws ... I know I have ... waaaaay too often!

And I'm with you on #3. We're not from/in Texas, but we don't do meatless very often (and never by design). ;-)

Hope your daughter is doing better.

Great tongue twister.

Hope your daughter is feeling better now and can be up and around again soon.

It's been really hot around here too (not as hot as you have though), but yesterday and today have been absolutely beautiful. Yesterday in the mid to upper 80's and today is the low 80's and tomorrow is supposed to be too. Hope you get some rain and cooler temps soon.

Totally agree with you about the meat. My boys would not think it was a meal without it!
