Tonight she treated us to dinner and on the way home she also paid for me to fill up my van in appreciation for my help.
I was most grateful and tried to tell her so. But somehow something happened between the brain and the mouth. . . .
"Thanks, Mom, for the dinner and gas."
Oh, that's funny! Sounds exactly like something I would say. I have a friend that we used to tease him about "opening mouth and exchanging feet":)
ReplyDeleteBlessings,

ReplyDeleteYou are just so funny this week. How could we make it without the ability to laugh at ourselves?
ReplyDeletePriceless!! :)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it wonderful to have caring parents who are giving and sacrificial. I don't care how old I get, I'll always appreciate the gift of a tank full of gas!

ReplyDeleteSo was it the surgery or the gas that brought tears to her eyes...
