Sigh. The things she gets me to do.
I like my mugs. They are cute mugs. Collected from various trips and picked out specifically to remember that event. Such as my mug from the original Starbucks in Seattle. And others, given as gifts that show personality, many of which are a tribute to chocolate in some form.
But are any of those good enough my fellow Lid? Noooooo.
She deems that I need to find an ugly mug for her contest. Hideous. One that would taint the pleasure of my morning mocha as I sip and work my way through blogdom.
So I did the only thing that could be done.
Went to my man's backpack of Scouting paraphenalia.
Because, in spite of the plethora of "cute" camping gear at various stores aimed for those who think it adventurous to go for days without showers and sleep in the wilds of nature, he and the other men in the troop chose mugs made of some kind of seemingly petrified styrofoam. And then they oh-so-carefully decorated and
Lest you are unable to read what it says and grasp the full essence of it's mug-ness, in spite of pictures from two different angles, the mug (and group) is titled:
PLEASE! Vote for me so I can escape to Starbucks and my cute mugs once again!!
UPDATE: BTW, just so you know, this mug is dishwasher safe. Guess that's the (questionable) advantage of the "petrified" part!
Definately an ugly mug!!!
ReplyDeleteOh. My. GOODness!
ReplyDeleteThis mug is disgustingly gross!
The monolouge is sparkling!
The morning face is - well, I don't know you well and I shall hold my tongue.
HOWEVER. . . .
In the interest of full-disclosure, we don't have a full history of this mug. Is its creator a blogger? Will he see it here and forever be scarred -- needing therapy for a hugely damaged sense of self following your ridicule!
It is nonetheless the most UNattractive mug I've seen thus far.
So much to consider.
OH - this is a hard contest to judge. Dear oh dear oh dear oh dear.
Petrified sryrofoam. That is certainly is and ugly petrified styrofoam to boot!
ReplyDeleteO.K. if that's all you could come up with!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSorry my friend, Becky got my vote by virtue of drinking her coffee from a mug with a longhorn on it!

This is very funny. Leave it to the guys. ; ) If I hadn't already voted for myself, I would vote for you! Ugly, ugly. What lengths we go to to entertain ourselves and one another is funny. And fun.
ReplyDeleteLOL! You did good at finding an ugly mug.
ReplyDelete1:18 pm CST -- I just placed my vote. And since my name and photo appear right there next to my vote on that other Linda's comment page, I could not vote for moi. . . so I voted for your ugly styrofoam beverage vessel. It is truly gross and my thinking is: it stinks too. Am I right?
ReplyDeleteMosty I just felt sorry for you that you had to put that picture of yourself up to promote your entry.
:-)
Petrified sryrofoam - too funny! And yea, definitely falls into the ugly category.
ReplyDeleteGood luck today!
This one leaves me almost speechless. Oh, the hideousness of the green. And the beads are such a touch. I do want to tell you that you are right on the money in pegging me as a power mogul. The world pretty much goes however I wish on a daily basis.
ReplyDeleteWell, let's see what happens!
Great you know where to look for ugly. I haven't voted yet and don't know if I can. I am glad you made the effort to be in this contest. I get more confused with each entry.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes.
Lois

ReplyDeleteI like it! It looks like a craft my kids would make for me. LOL! Good luck.
ReplyDeleteVery ugly!! You so deserve the Starbucks card!!!
