. . . .it must be while doing jigsaw puzzles!
My girl and I have been working on a jigsaw puzzle since the weekend. Since she was just a wee thing, she has had an affinity for them. Me? Not so much. I can do them, and sometimes I get on a roll, but I'm not nearly as quick as she is.
This particular puzzle had 500 pieces and was almost holographic - the pieces were shiny and there were not enough color variations in the jungle scene to suit me - too many browns and greens.
But it is amazing, and not a little disturbing, how downright excessively competitive I am. Even (especially?!) with my sweet "baby" girl! If I'm working on my little area, and she sees a piece and plops it in, it makes me C.R.A.Z.Y. And she had better not hijack my pleasure of putting in the last piece in that little section!
The fruit of the Spirit is self-control . . . .
LOL!!!! Linda! You make me laugh. My sister (ADHD ME) often says mothers of teenagers know why some animals eat their young.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy our puzzle-mania!
Oh I so get that!!! I am the same way!!
ReplyDeleteI am sending my girl back to school on Friday..it will be a sad day for me.
Oh I love to do puzzles! I got Bekah one for Christmas that we are working on right now! It's harder because there is alot of black, but we will perservere!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHahahahahaha!! I would never be mad about that.......NOT!! I hate it when someone comes in and finds the piece I have been looking for. Living in a house with all boys, they really do not like to do puzzles, but if there is one to do, the only reason they help is to steal my pieces!! Ughh!
ReplyDeleteHEE heee! Doesn't it just kill ya!
ReplyDeleteI got a package in the mail from you today! ;) It was so kind of you to send the book. I can't wait to get started on it. Thanks girl!
