A tribute to our Founding Fathers and the personal price they paid to birth this nation:
All of us who were engaged in the struggle must have observed frequent instances of superintending providence in our favor. To that kind providence we owe this happy opportunity of consulting in peace on the means of establishing our future national felicity. And have we now forgotten that powerful friend? Or do we imagine that we no longer need his assistance? I have lived, Sir, a long time, and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth-that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the Ground without his Notice, is it probable that an Empire can rise without his Aid?Benjamin Franklin

beautiful!!!
Linda, I've been enjoying this TSMSS so much. I have listened to so many patriotic songs and I love it. Your post is especially meaningful to me. Thank you for sharing both videos. I learned something from the first one and I absolutely always enjoy the Gaithers. That video and the scenery did give me chills too. Enjoy your holiday today.
I love your quotes! For some reason I can't view the videos. Hope you have a great 4th...let freedom prevail.
Loved all these wonderful quotes and tributes...
Thanks for that excellent post, Linda. I loved that version of God Bless America!
America Bless God! The nation is blessed whose God is the Lord. I'm awake and alert while watching & praying.
I loved the song, but that tribute gave me chills. We sometimes forget the very real sacrifice that these men made just by signing that document. Thanks for the reminder! Happy Independence Day!
