Weather Woes

This time of year, the weather drives me crazy.

Yesterday was absolutely bea-you-ti-ful, sunny and with a high of 77. I love spring! Except it is still winter. I even told a friend "This gives me spring fever, but I know the cold weather isn't over."

This morning I looked at the forecast, and sure enough, tomorrow we are supposed to plummet to the low 30's with rain and a slight possibility of the "wintry mix".

But I've seen a glimpse of spring and it makes me smile.

  1. Here in IA we hit mid to upper 30's and we're certain spring is around the corner. :) I need to relocate...

  2. I agree. We had just about gotten rid of all the snow that's been on the ground for the last 6 weeks when we got more last night. But I, like you, have seen a glimpse of Spring just seeing the trees and bushes begin to put on buds. I know there's a sun on the other side of those clouds. It isn't even as cold as it has been. I'm ok:)

  3. Like the old saying goes, "Just wait a day, and the weather in Texas will change."

  4. Me too...I'm waiting to see my first robin of the season but we still have snow on the ground and more to come.

  5. We have robins everywhere (but they actually winter here) and flowers popping up all over the place. The harbor was covered in fog at 7 a.m. but by 8 the sun was coming up on what the weatherman says is the last beautiful day for awhile - rain is forecast for the next week.

We however are headed for a jet plane and ... Massachusetts. Snow!

  7. sounds like our weather here in NE Louisiana. Yesterday was amazing and now today it is cold and a chance of that wintry mix.

    Blessings to you Linda!

  9. I saw a Redbud tree in full bloom on Saturday - it was gorgeous. It was 65 and sunny here. Today it is so gray it is almost black. Rain tomorrow and temperatures are tanking...One more month and it will be Spring. We can do this!!

  10. Yep...the old winter weather can leave you longing for sunny days and...wait. No. Once it's summer we'll be complaining about the heat. LOL! I for one am completely content with the cooler temps and the possibility of more snow before it's all said and done!
