MY THOUGHTS:
I enjoyed the first book in this series, Katy's New World (reviewed here), and this one is excellent as well. Like any teen, Katy faces challenges at school and at home; the difference is that Katy and her father are Old Order Mennonite. And just as teens do in real life, Katy has moments of maturity and moments of emotional angst. Christian teen girls who are learning to be "in the world but not of the world" will enjoy and relate to this book. I've passed it along to my girl, who enjoyed the first one as well and is looking forward to reading more about Katy.
AND NOW...THE FIRST CHAPTER:
Thanks for the review. Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteSounds good. As I've said before, I wish my 15 year old liked to read. This would be so good for her.
ReplyDeleteLooks like another good book. We love this author and ANYTHING Amish!
ReplyDeleteI loved this book! I will post about it later today. I am quite enjoying reading about Katy. I think Kim Vogel Sawyer does an excellent job of writing about teen angst.
