It's Wednesday and the first 2011 edition of Wednesday Hodgepodge!
1. What three words would you use to describe 2010?
Busy, productive, surprising.
2. If fear were not an issue what is something you'd like to try?
I really have no idea. Most of the things that would fall in that category just don't interest me, but not for the reason of fear.
3. What do you add to your coffee or tea?
Coffee - sugar and a splash of chocolate milk; tea - sugar (occasional lemon or lime for iced)
4. What historical sporting event would you like to witness?
I don't watch current-day sports for the most part, so I can't imagine choosing one from long ago. Maybe one of the old Olympics.
5. What is one piece of advice you would like to give your sixteen year old self?
Your worth is not defined by what you do.
6. Are you a planner or do you prefer to fly by the seat of your pants?
Planner. And I never plan to fly by the seat of my pants!
7. What is one thing you are looking forward to in 2011?
Spring.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
I had seen these scalp massagers in the stores and thought, "What a scam!" I couldn't imagine someone would pay real money for that and didn't see how in the world it would work and feel good. Plus it looked too much like a kitchen whisk! Well, meet the stealth hit Christmas gift! At our church staff Christmas party, one of the staff wives received it as part of a white elephant gift. A couple of folks said, "Oh those are great" so she pulled it out to try it and immediately started moaning in pleasure. Of course, we had to pass it around for several of us to try. I immediately got each of the girls one for her stocking and my man, who is allergic to shopping for anything non-electronic, put a note in mine that told me to get myself one of those "head thingies". Get one at Amazon or Bed Bath & Beyond for $3.99 - most relaxing 4 bucks you'll ever spend!
busy....
ReplyDelete#6 -- I plan, but I never expect things to go quite right, so I also know how to fly!
ReplyDeleteOk, you've convinced me...I'll have to get one of those "head thingies." :)
ReplyDeleteGreat advice on #5. I'm looking forward to Spring too. The scalp massager? I'm adding that to my list for 2011 stocking stuffers. lol. Thanks for sharing. Blessings, SusanD
ReplyDeleteA guy at the mall was "sampling" those head thingies on everyone and put it near my head and I started screetching - because REALLY - he'd scratched millions of other random people's heads with it. GROSS!
ReplyDeleteBut now you are peaked my interest. :-)
You know I always looked at the scalp thingies with a little skepticism also....but...I know the best part of getting my hair cut is when they wash it and are rubbing my head - so it makes since that this would be awesome!! I gotta remember them for Christmas this year!
ReplyDeleteI love your advice to your 16 year old self--how true that is!
ReplyDeleteAbout that head thingie...what an interesting-looking "thingie". I haven't seen those before!
I'll be back on Friday for "Flashbacks". I've missed it. I've had the flu for a couple of weeks, that's why I haven't been blogging.
I like that..."never PLAN to fly by the seat of my pants." HAHA! Me too! I hate it when I'm forced to cuz someone else in leadership is...grrr!
ReplyDeleteThis is my first time to join in the Hodgepodge.
ReplyDeleteI had never seen or heard of those head scratchers.
I am very much looking forward to spring, too!
Interesting post!
ReplyDeleteHope you are having an awesome New Year!
Blessings,
andrea
