This is a wonderful old classic which takes me back to the days of revivals and music evangelists conducting the choir. I also remember George Beverly Shea singing this a lot, but I couldn't find one of those. I just love the words!
UNTIL THEN
My heart can sing when I pause to remember
A heartache here is but a stepping stone
Along the trail that's winding always upward
This troubled world is not my final home
But until then my heart will go on singing
Until then with joy I'll carry on
Until the day my eyes behold that city
Until the day God calls me home
The things of earth will dim and lose their value
If we recall they're borrowed for a while
And things of earth that cause this heart to tremble
Remembered there will only bring a smile
But until then my heart will go on singing
Until then with joy I'll carry on
Until the day my eyes behold that city
Until the day God calls me home
(Chorus of WHAT A DAY THAT WILL BE)
What a day that will be,
When my Jesus I shall see,
And I look upon His face,
The One who saved me by His grace;
When He takes me by the hand,
And leads me through the Promised Land,
What a day, glorious day that will be
But until then my heart will go on singing
Until then with joy I'll carry on
Until the day my eyes behold that city
Until the day God calls me home

I have heard Charles Billingsley sing many times and I very impressed with his voice. You should hear him do "His Eye is on the Sparrow." It is awesome. Thank you for choosing this song....on this Saturday...I have been struggling all week trying to do things my way and not God's way...and the song was a shot in the arm. When will I learn?
