1. Do you like your name? Were you named after someone? If you have children how did you settle on their names?
I never particularly thought about liking or not liking my name until I got the little inserts for my high school graduation announcements with my full name in the fancy italics and I realized I did have a pretty name. We just liked the names we gave our kids for first names. My boy's middle name is my husband's first name, and my girl's middle name is the same as my middle name.
2. How do you define success?
". . .that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—-the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith." (Philippians 3:8-10)
3. Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy?
Wheel of Fortune. I like Jeopardy sometimes, but I am much better at the Wheel!
4. If you could own any single object that you don't have now, what would that object be?
An iPad
5. What is something that inspires you?
Music, especially hymns.
6. Meatloaf-yea or nay? If its a yay how do you make yours?
Nay. I hated my mom's. I've had some that were tolerable. I've tried making it several different ways and it just isn't that great.
7. Which is more admirable-the ability to organize and be methodical or the ability to adapt and make do?
As an organizer married to an engineer, it's obvious which one I value! But we occasionally plan to be spontaneous!
8. Insert your own random thought here.
I hate it when an $850,000 bracelet falls off without my realizing it!
(I don't even watch these shows; just happened to hear about this on the news. I would have died of heart failure right there on the spot if I had been the one who lost it!)
#5-Definitely!
ReplyDeleteI got my book in the mail yesterday (there wasn't any mail on Monday) so thanks! So excited to get started!
Linda, just wanted to let you know that you've won an award over on my blog. You don't have to accept it if you don't want to - but its there for you! :-)

Yes, I too, hate it when you loose a $850,000 bracelet. Oh wait, all my wordly possession don't even equal that. lol
ReplyDeleteHave a Great Day!
I don't watch shows like the Golden Globes, but oh my gosh...can you just imagine losing something that valuable? I would never even wear something that cost that much!!! Scary!!
ReplyDeleteLove your random comment. I wouldn't even begin to KNOW what that felt like. I agreed with you on the music inspiration too...that is what keeps me focused a lot of the time.
ReplyDeleteThat's one reason I don't like expensive jewelry -- I'd be so afraid of messing it up or losing it, besides there being so many other things I'd much rather spend money on.
ReplyDeleteI love your answer to #7! That's a great one :)
ReplyDeleteI always loved my Mom's meat loaf. I haven't had any in so long, I've never even tried to make it. Don't think hubby would eat it, I'll have to ask him!!
ReplyDeleteI like your answer #5
ReplyDeleteI think I lost my $850,000 bracelet in a past life..LOL
I can't imagine owning anything that expensive much less losing it. ha
ReplyDeleteHymns..that was a good one. Never thought of that, but they sure do inspired me too.
Ahhh... being married to an engineer... wouldn't trade it for the world.
ReplyDeleteGreat answer to #2.
