A terrible hurricane strikes and the grand ship is lost in the murky depths of the Atlantic. Laura finds herself rescued with the other women and children, but how can she feel anything but despondent without her groom? Suspecting her John is gone but still daring to hope for a miracle, Laura must face the possibility of life alone.

MY THOUGHTS:
Dan Walsh has quickly become a favorite novelist of mine, and as much as I enjoyed his first two offerings, The Deepest Waters is his best yet. Although a fictional story, it is based on actual events. At the outset I wondered if it would be simply a Titanic redux, but that was quickly dispelled. Mr. Walsh has woven the facts with just the right amount of emotion and imagination--not to mention strong elements of faith--to create a tender novel befitting the time period. This book will warm your heart.
