After all, she is just dabbling in the world of private investigating until she can find a "real" job.
All she has to do for her first assignment is determine that a particular woman lives at a particular address. Simple, right? MY THOUGHTS
This is the first of Lorena McCourtney's books that I have read, and it looks to be the beginning of a delightful series. Quirky characters fill the pages of this novel, and many of them appear to be a prime suspect in the unexpected death that Cate Kinkaid, PI-wannabe, stumbles upon in her seemingly straightforward first assignment. If you enjoy a bit of suspense and "who-dun-it" but don't want to be scared to turn off the lights at night, this cozy mystery is one you should be Dying to Read!
