MY THOUGHTS
I loved returning to Smitten, Vermont and meeting a few other folks in the town. This multi-generational family of women made me smile, especially their Sunday lunches with the conglomeration of foods they each brought; they gave "potluck" a whole new connotation! But flaws and all, it was a cherished tradition. Romance is in the air, but a decades-long mystery causes some bumps in the relationships of the women in these four intertwined novellas combined in one volume. Each of the novellas focuses on a different granddaughter's story while a common thread of their grandmother's lost love flows through all four of them, making this a delightful read. Grandma Rose and Great-Aunt Violet are quite a pair. No one can love like a sister - and no one can make a person as angry, either - no matter the age! February is the month for love, and the perfect time to curl up with this book and spend some time being (not-so!) Secretly Smitten.
The "gals" are celebrating the release of Secretly Smitten with a fun Live Webcast on February 5th. They'll be debuting the *NEW* animated Smitten trailer, giving away tons of prizes, dishing on the book and their friendship. They'll also be wrapping up the Secretly Smitten blog tour, answering audience questions and testing your trivia skills. Don't miss the fun and bring your friends.
