1. When it comes to good manners, what two top your list of most important?
Oh wow, how to choose? I guess I'm getting old and cranky but I am appalled at the lack of manners in our society in general. I'll choose 1) kids talking respectfully to adults and 2) people not talking during events, whether it's a school concert or a church service or a movie or whatever.
2. Let's open a proverbial can of worms...Common Core. Are you familiar with the term (talking education reform in the USA)? If so, care to share your thoughts? In your opinion, what is one of the biggest issues schools (in your home country) face today?
I'm so glad we are done with K-12 education. I am sick of the constant redefining of education and coming up with fancy terms and techniques instead of just teaching. The biggest issues in schools today is parents don't teach kids to respect authority and schools don't teach kids Reading and Writing and 'Rithmetic. Because too many teachers don't know how to do those three things too well, either.
3. Name a celebrity whose fashion sense you admire and share why.
I don't pay much attention to celebrities.
4. How are you affected by the changing seasons?
When we get our first genuine cold snap, I usually a bunch of sinus drainage which leads to a sore throat.
5. Scariest book you've ever read?
Predator by Terri Blackstock.
6. What time of day are you most hungry? What's your go-to snack?
Early afternoon. Almonds.
7. Do you lean more towards being too needy or too independent? Which do you find harder to deal with in others?
Independent for me, but needy people make me crazy.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
No matter what you do, if you mess with concrete, the dust gets everywhere and it is gross.

I was once independant, then I got Cancer and now I'm the needy one that drives myself crazy! I agree with the education issue.
I eat almmonds as snacks all the time! My husband talked me into trying the wasabi and soy sauce almonds recently...far too spicy for me! I'm in complete agreement with your answer to #2. Respect has definitely gone down the drain!
I LOVED reading your take on mannerisms!!! And I heartily agree.
Almonds? They're supposed to be really healthy for you. Yum.
We love almonds for a snack as well.
Most teachers I know say just let us teach. I won't get on my soapbox here : ) I noticed April's comment, and I highly recommend the wasabi soy almonds if you like spicy. They are so good!
I had the same answer for #3.
Almonds are one thing I don't thing to buy. I do like them though.
Almonds are a great snack. I have a friend who really likes Terri Blackstock's books.
Mmmmm.. Almonds! I like Cashews too, but I can't AFFORD either one! I like to buy the teeny-tiny bags of crushed nuts, in the baking section of the grocery store, so that I can sprinkle a few on my homemade coffee cakes and muffins.. Still kind of expensive, but so worth it!... Have a great week! ~tina
