I am becoming a desperate woman.
Last week when I saw the doctor for the issues with my esophagus, in addition to giving me a different pill for a couple of weeks, he suggested I avoid caffeine for a while.
I'm doing okay with the decaf coffee in the morning. But it is just about to kill me to go by Chick-fil-A and not get some sweet tea.
Yes, I'm that shallow.
Hopefully, the lack of the good stuff is the reason I was halfway to the ortho doctor's office yesterday before I realized that my appointment was really today. Sigh.
Maybe I should have had them x-ray my head instead of my foot.
Remember...Doctors PRACTICE medicine. Sometimes it takes SO many different tries that it is easy to lose hope.
ReplyDeleteHang in there.
No caffeine?! That would drive me CRAZY--er.
oh you poor thing! I could not go without my caffeine! Well, i'm sure I could but I don't want to try and my family doesn't want me to try either!
ReplyDeleteUghhhh...ok at least you did not make it all the way to the doctors!!! Maybe some Chik-fil-a lemonade?
ReplyDeleteGirl...sweet tea is NOT shallow...it's life! I'm feeling for you right now!
ReplyDeleteSweet tea is lost on most northerners, you know. I can't believe you went a day early to your appt. My brother once went to a wedding a week early. All dressed up and everything.
ReplyDeleteOh Linda I so understand! I am that way with fountain pop! I will tell you though that our church is doing a biggest loser, and so far I have gone a week and 1/2 without fountain pop! With God's help you'll kick it!!!!
ReplyDeleteLinda,
ReplyDeleteI mostly drink water now and only the occasional sweet tea and/or coffee but when I get the JOY of having them...it is just that...JOY. Nothing shallow about it!
I'm sorry for the weaning process you are going through...I know it's a bit tough. I hope your issues are resolved shortly. Hugs to you!
This VA gal knows sweet tea at Chick-Fil-A!!! I feel your pain! I can't imagine not having that or coffee. I'm be having headaches, falling asleep and be GRUMPY. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI don't know how I would survive without caffeine!! Hope you feel better soon!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the birthday wishes for Andrew!!!
I guess you're going to have to degrade yourself and put artificial sweetener in your decaf tea....

Hey Linda,
ReplyDeleteMy middle daughter has type 1 diabetes so we switched to splenda when I make sweet tea so it doesn't count. Try that. It actually tastes better. Good luck - let me know if I can help you with sweet tea recipes we use all kinds of different flavors to make it nice.
Hugs, Andi
