Can she trust him? Or is she putting herself and her family in danger?

MY THOUGHTS:
This book will sweep you away to another world where the mores of society dictate who has access to the coveted balls and soirees of the London Season and where conversation between two people is often executed as carefully and properly as the steps of a quadrille. Lady Gale's desperate desire for her father's withheld approval tugged at my heart, as did the heartbreaking secrets she hid within about her brief marriage; the responsibilities she shouldered in guiding her sisters added to the burdens. Her French gentleman friend seems like an answer to prayer. But when an unseen man set on revenge begins blackmailing her and casts doubt on the Frenchman's story, she is uncertain whom to trust. I was completely entranced by the intrigue, suspense, and romance of this novel.
