The Wedding Kiss

I love books by Hannah Alexander, the pen name of husband and wife team Mel and Cheryl Hodde. Most of their books have been in the medical fiction genre, which I really enjoyed. When I had the opportunity to win a book from Cheryl Hodde on the Girls Write Out blog that she participates in (along with Colleen Coble, Denise Hunter, Kristen Billerbeck, and Diann Hunt), I was thrilled. The Wedding Kiss is the first historical fiction I've read by Hannah Alexander, and it was an absolute delight.

September 2011/320 pages/$12.99

A kiss can be life-changing.

When Keara and Elam Jensen share their first kiss on their wedding day, a marriage of convenience becomes much less convenient! It also becomes more than they expected when God shows them what He really has in store for their lives. Will their mysteriously injured visitor ruin their future, or will her influence—and her personal battle—draw them into deadly danger?

Visit Eureka Springs, Arkansas, in 1901, and discover for yourself what excitement and romance await along the White River Hollow.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
HANNAH ALEXANDER is the pen name for the husband-and-wife writing team of Mel and Cheryl Hodde, who began collaborating on their first blind date. Cheryl is the wordsmith, and Mel is the medical expert who helps her with the medical plotlines and edits everything she writes.

MY THOUGHTS:
What a fun read this was! I loved both Keara and Elam as they coped with the heartaches of their lives and decided that it only made sense to face them together, only without any romantic involvement of their hearts! Problem is, their hearts didn't get the memo! This is a wonderful story with just the right amount of suspense, danger, humor, and romantic tension. I found myself completely enthralled with this story and this family. And while it's not categorized as medical fiction, Keara finds herself doing a bit more than tending to cuts and bruises in this story! I highly recommend this story and others by Hannah Alexander!

Disclosure: I received this book free from Hannah Alexander. I was not required to write a review. The opinions expressed are my own.

I'll have to look for this one. I read several of the medical ones years ago and enjoyed them all.
