But the sudden arrival of Sir Colin Beckwith at rival British news agency Reuters puts her hard-earned livelihood at risk. Colin is talented, handsome, insufferably charming--and keeping a secret that jeopardizes his reputation.

Despite their rivalry, Lucy can't deny that Colin has the connections she needs to give her family an edge in the long legal battle they've been waging over their rightful inheritance. MY THOUGHTS

The intriguing title and my experience with Elizabeth Camden's previous novels promised an enjoyable read, and I was not disappointed. Camden once again drew me in with engaging characters and a compelling story set in the early twentieth century. What's not to love about a loyal brother and sister determined to break the power wielded by their uncle in a multi-generation family feud, not to mention the danger-at least to the heart-posed by the British newsman who is simultaneously maddening and helpful? The horrific plight of those trapped in the tenements of New York City touched my heart. Suspense and romance collide in this engrossing tale which is a perfect choice for a cozy fall evening.
