I've been working some 12-hour shifts in a local hospital as part of a refresher course to update my RN license since I've been a SAHM to raise my kids.
Turns out, the hospital is an excellent place to do these shifts, for more than one reason!
Loved that cartoon! A friend of mine had 3 sons in their early to late teens when her daughter was born. The mother was 38 at the time. She always laughed about the difference in chasing a two year old when you're 20 and doing the same thing at 40!
I'm 40-something and my husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary in August of 2008. We have 2 teenagers, a son and a daughter. I was an RN in my former (pre-kids) life which comes in handy as I serve in our church's care ministry. I love being involved in Bible Study and Ladies Ministry at our wonderful church.
Chatting over a cup of coffee with a friend to encourage and support one another (and share a laugh or even a tear) is one of my favorite things to do.

Hang in there, you'll make it! (-: They say, what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.
