MY THOUGHTS

I missed the first book in this series, but I'm glad I read this one! Dani Pettrey captivated me from the opening paragraph of this novel until the final sentence, and I found myself picking up the book at every opportunity to discover what happens next in Piper's quest to clear her brother of the murder charges that landed him in jail. Pettrey expertly builds both the romantic tension and the element of suspense until I found myself almost forgetting to breathe. A bevy of characters with an array of personalities adds to the dynamics of the story, and plenty of twists and turns kept me from guessing the conclusion. I'll be watching for the remaining books in this series!
