MY THOUGHTS

Lisa T. Bergren continues her Grand Tour series in style and suspense with Grave Consequences. I was captivated by Cora's rags-to-riches tale in Glamorous Illusions (which I reviewd here) and was eager to continue to follow her and her newly discovered half-siblings as they explore Europe, dodge the enemy, and dance across the landmine of family relationships. Bergren expertly combines interpersonal drama with moments of tense action and suspense while also weaving threads of romance in, out, and around Cora and her companions, and I felt each of the emotions, alternately holding my breath, cringing, and sighing with delight! The result is a thoroughly satisfying read. I can't wait for Glittering Promises, coming out in September!
