Tracie Peterson is the bestselling, award-winning author of more than 85 novels.

She received her first book contract in November, 1992 and saw A Place To Belong published in February 1993 with Barbour Publishings' Heartsong Presents. MY THOUGHTS

I should know not to start a book by Tracie Peterson when I only have a short amount of time to read because it will be impossible to put down, and The Icecutter's Daughter was no exception. Deciding "just one more chapter" is pointless because her chapters are never good stopping places; she always dangles something that makes me keep right on reading! This novel is full of wonderful characters (and a few not-so-wonderful!) that I immediately fell in love with-except for the ones that I wanted to send packing, that is! Merrill and Rurik are especially endearing and I loved how they each honored their relationships with their families and friends. Merrill can hold her own with her brothers but she is less confident when it comes to feminine graces, and Peterson portrays all the nuances of Merrill's as well as the other characters to perfection. Don't miss this delightful book.
