Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. Have you ever been served breakfast in bed? Do you enjoy that? If someone were serving you breakfast in bed this coming weekend what would you hope to see on the tray?

I've only been served breakfast in bed when I've been in the hospital after having my babies and when I had surgery. I enjoyed that, but it's never particularly appealed to me to have that done at home. Balancing a tray on my lap is kinda awkward. Not having the mechanical bed and the overbed tray that extends over the bed is definitely a disadvantage!

2. What is one piece of advice you would give a new mother?

Savor every moment. The days (& nights!) and weeks crawl but the months and years fly.

3. When was the last time you wanted to scream? Explain.

When I got the bill for my girl's surgery.

4. Can you hula hoop?

Not any more.

5. What is something people do in traffic that really bothers you?

Zip up and cut in.

6. What do you do when people don't admit they're wrong?

Get irritated.

7. What is the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word 'fun'?

Vacation.

8. Insert your own random thought here.

It was wonderful to see the sun and 70 temperatures yesterday after Monday's plummet to 50 and drizzle. May in Texas and 50 degrees? That's just wrong.

On this island there's no passing so getting cut off is rarely an issue, but nobody seems to have blinkers on their cars. Amoeba says it is obvious I am from "away". If I belonged here I would know where the car was going and the lack of blinkers wouldn't be an issue. ;)

I said virtually the same thing for #2! ;-)

Loved your responses....and have to agree with the zip up and cut off. I also hate it when there is a sign announcing construction....and they continue to come without moving over...until the last minute...so my lane waits! I agree about the temp...it was lovely here yesterday...and today it is cold. I have on a hoodie today. Griefus..it is May!

Answer number one seems to be a common answer. Hmmmm, just not fair. Then again if we were served breakfast in bed, it would just make more work for us as we would then need to wash the bedding as I am sure the little ones serving would cause some spillage:)

We are thrilled to see some warmer weather too....although going from freezing one day to sweating the next is ridiculous!!!!

Such weird weather, isn't it? We've been having warmer than usual temperatures. I don't mind too much, but it makes me wonder what's going to happen when summer actually gets here!

Loved your answers, short and to the point. LOL

Weird weather here in GA, too.

Sorry your weather is so bad right now - of course I say this while it's pooring outside my window and it's as dark as night! Spring has been strainge for a lot of us.

I agree about the hospital bed! Actually, I agree with your answers to #2, 4, 5 and 6, too. We had rain most of yesterday and cooler temps today, too, but not unbearable.

I liked your answer for #2.

Caleb likes to surprise us with breakfast in bed sometimes. It is always something cute he comes up with, things he can make on his own, if Dad is not up yet.

I sometimes think that people think that every time they get on the road, they are running in a NASCAR race. Those who make it to the light first do not win the Sprint Cup. Sheesh.

I'm in SC helping my daughter and it's chilly. I have the wrong clothes since I was expecting warm. I cannot get away from cold and wet- ugh!

70 degrees!!!??? Oh I am sooo jealous! It's May and I am ... get ready for it... STILL WEARING MY HAT, MITTS AND WINTER JACKET. Usually it's really warm this time of year but not in 2011, nope it's still really chilly and we've had rain the past 4 days sigh. I'm depressed now.

I can't imagine what it must be like to get a bill for surgery! We've got medicare that takes care of that for us (Canada) so unless your surgery is for something not covered by medicare then it's "free" (I put that in quotes because our taxes really pay for it so technically it's not free free).
