I recently won the Pay It Forward drawing over at All That Naz, and now it's my turn to pass along the fun!
I've seen a couple of different ways of doing this - giving a handcrafted gift to the first 3 people or the way Mrs. N did it, drawing for one prize not to exceed $15. Since my best crafting is done in the kitchen and that really doesn't seem too appropriate for unseen friends, I thought I'd give away a music CD that corresponds with what I have shared on my Then Sings My Soul Saturday posts. But I'm going to let the winner choose from the following:
The Best of Anthony Burger: From the Homecoming Series - piano music by the extraordinarily gifted man who accompanied so many of the Gaither singers before his sudden and untimely death 3 years ago. I featured him here, along with the incredible testimony of the accident he had as a baby that doctors said would prevent him from ever using his hands.
Gaither Vocal Band Reunion, Volume 1 - as its title says, this CD reunites the GVB members from throughout the group's history, including its earliest days with Steve Green (which I spotlighted here) as well as later years with Mark Lowry, Russ Taff, and David Phelps.
Selah Greatest Hymns CD - There's nothing as beautiful to me as the old hymns, and no one sings them like Selah.
I read just the other day about a Pay It Forward that started in the drive-thru of a Starbucks in Illinois and kept going for 160 customers! Or maybe it should be called Pay It Backward, as each customer paid for the customer in the car behind them!
I don't think we'll get up to 160, but if I get 40 comments, I might give away 2 CD's!
So here are the rules:
1. Leave a comment on this post by noon CST Friday (3/6/09).
2. In your comment, indicate which CD you would like. You must tell me in your comment which CD you want to be entered in the drawing.
3. Continental US Residents only, please.
4. If you win, you are to continue to Pay It Forward by doing some sort of giveaway on your blog.
I'll post the winner sometime Friday afternoon or evening!
