A Dozen Random Answers

1. Do you prefer even or odd numbers? Any particular reason?

Odd. For the same reason I prefer straight-sided shapes to round ones. And crunchy foods to soft foods.

Yeah, I'm weird!

2. On a scale of 1-10, with 1 being "not at all" and 10 being Carly Simon-worthy, how vain are you?

I'm way too insecure to be vain.

3. Among these Irish stereotypes, with which do you identify most closely? Talkative, Proud, Inquisitive, Love to party, Hot-tempered

I guess I would say proud. And no, that's not the same thing as vain! Being proud is part of being Texan.

4. How lucky do you consider yourself?

Not. My brother can win just about any drawing he enters. I rarely do.

5. What is the subject of your favorite post that you've written?

Five of My Favorite Words in the Bible, Part 1 and
Five of My Favorite Words in the Bible, Part 2

6. Describe March weather where you live in three words.

Intermittent cold fronts.

7. How apt are you at detecting blarney when you hear it? (Smooth talk, flattery)

Not very. It has to be super obvious. I'm a pretty trusting soul.

8. How "green" are you, environmentally speaking?

Not very. And in today's politically correct culture, It's Not Easy Being Not Green!

9. What is your favorite song this week?

I hate picking favorites! I have ever since I was a kid and my mom always wanted to know what my favorite book was. I guess Casting Crowns' Til the Whole World Hears.

10. You are walking along and see a coin on the ground. What denomination does it have to be before you will stop to pick it up?

Oh, you mean that kind of denomination?! The amount doesn't matter - I'll pick up pennies. What determines whether I pick it up is the grime factor.

11. Complete the sentence: "Every time I look outside my window ...."

....I wonder what the temperature is!

12. What was the #1 song on the day you were born? See this site to find out.

I wandered off and started playing with that birthday thing and almost forgot to come back.

I like round and crunchy and odd, so we match on 2 out of three.

I used to be trusting until I started working at the Attendance desk at the high school. I don't even trust the adults any more!!

People will have to work hard to beat #10. You're a riot. And that's not blarney.

I loved your five words posts...I did the Beth Moore Daniel study a few years ago and loved it. That study has really stayed with your denomination answer too : )

I hate trying to pick favorites, too, and my answer about coins was similar in that I usually don't because they're dirty -- or I think they are!

Love your answers, especially the denomination's one.

I used to be Baptist, but I reckon I'd only pick up Episcopal coins now :) Do you think they'd be more, or less, likely to be grimy?

Lori said...

O love your answer to no. 10. The grime factor is huge to me. It could be a ten dollar bill but if it's laying in a pile of poo, I'm not picking it up that's for sure!

I guess I thought every one picked up coins... haha

My sister and I pick up pennies.. "Pennies from Heaven".. we have decided it is our dad thinking of us and every time we see a penny, it lets us know he is up in Heaven sending us his love..

When I have more time I want to go back and read your "favorite" posts - you captured my curiosity.

Love #8 & #10 - too funny!
