What a difference a few months make! I quickly
Now for a fun way to commemorate my 100th post. I can't think of anything more narcoleptic than listing 100 mundane facts about me. I'm not even sure I could come up with that many, and I certainly don't want to chase you all away now that I've found you!
Besides, the joy of blogging has not been the quest for the wise or witty post to flow from my fingers. No, what makes me look forward every day to (b)logging on is each of you, my blog friends! So what better way to celebrate today than to celebrate you! So I have some prizes to share! If only I could send every single one of you something, or at least give you a hug in person!
- The sweet gals who commented on my very first post. . . . and most of them have hung around and become sweet, sweet friends. Thank you, Lisa the Preacher's Wife, Kim, Xandra, Lisa Writes, and Marina. You welcomed me with open arms right from the very beginning and warmed this newbie's heart!
- The one who left my 100th comment: Mel. She is one enthusiastic gal who is always an encouragement!
- And speaking of encouragement, a few of you have even given me an award! Not for a minute do I think I deserve any kudos for anything on this blog, but your friendly stamp of approval meant more than you could possibly know! So thanks Denise, Kelli, Xandra, and Angela. And of course CWO for the fun surprise of being Blog of the Month for April!
- If you have left a comment on my blog, I thank you. You have ministered to my heart more than you know.
- If you read and don't comment, I thank you for stopping by. And I invite you to leave a comment sometime and let me get to know you! Who knows, you might be planting the seed for an award!
Finally, the One I celebrate most of all is He who ties our hearts together. And how fitting that this song of praise, the Doxology, is to the tune Old 100th!
Thanks for your friendship! I pray that you will be blessed as much as you have blessed me.
Just a reminder: don't forget to comment on the blog tour for Skid by noon CDT Friday for a chance to win a copy of the book! Tell me your dream vacation destination!

Congrats on your 100th post! I am curious...did you count back all the comments to find your 100th commentor? That took some time, girl! BTW- I'd love to be considered for your Hymn Book giveaway. One of my favorite hymns is Victory in Jesus. It was sung at my grandmother's funeral. I must also mention "How Great Thou Art". That was sung at my wedding. Such powerful words. Thanks for taking the time to do this.
Yeah, my OCD made me do it! Actually, it wasn't bad. Started at post #1 and counted them by clumps at first (since each post says how many comments I didn't even have to open them). Then realized some might have inadvertently duplicated their comments, or I might have responded in the comments, like I'm doing now, so I counted them individually from #1. Didn't take but a couple of minutes.
The funniest thing is, with each method #100 landed in different posts, but both times it happened to be Mel!!
That is funny stuff, Linda!
OH my goodness!!! Thank you so much Linda! You are just a sweetie pie! I love Starbucks!!
How wonderful 100 posts!!!! I know God is using you in a mighty way to further HIS kingdom on your blog! You are a precious person with a beautiful heart for her LORD!
Thank you again for blessing me with this very generous gift card!
I am humbled!!!
Blessings,
Denise Crockett

Happy 100th post Linda! I have been a little quiet lately, but I am a huge fan/friend. :)
Of course we like you...dare I say LOVE you...to pieces! What's not to like? You have been such an encouragement to me, and I've truly enjoyed getting to know you better.

Xandra
PS. My mom has this book, and I love it! Please put me in the drawing...I think you have a pretty good idea of the hymns I love most based on my blog content! LOL!
BTW one of my favorite old hymns is "Be Still my Soul" ;-)
Happy 100th!!!!
Woo hoo! Starbuck's, one hundred posts of one of my favorite bloggers, (effectively) the last day school--this is turning out to be a great day! :-)
Congratulations, and here's to many many more clicks of the publish button!
Oh yeah, my favorite hymn is "Be Thou My Vision"
Happy Blogoversary, friend! Here's to the next 100!
(By the way, you don't have to enter me in the giveaway. I've won so much stuff lately. But I couldn't read this and NOT comment.)
Congratulations! You have such a wonderful blog. I would have never guessed it's been around for less than 6 months.
Congratulations on your 100th post, Linda! I'm fairly new to reading Christian blogs, and I love them. I've learned so much about new books, the author who wrote them, and also the blogger. You do a great job, and I look forward to your 200th post!
Congrats...this is a GREAT way to celebrate 100 posts! I'm visiting from Mel's place and glad I was able to stop by.
Blessings,
Susan
Linda,
You, girl, are one cool chick and I am so tickled to see that your OCD and my OCD would get along just great! (I would SO have to count the comments too!)
I remember when you first got started...your buddy Lisa was asking people to come by and visit and encourage you. I did and I am forever blessed because of it!
I can't wait to see what happens in the next 100 posts and then some. You have a great big heart girl and I love watching you use it for HIS glory!
Count me in...
Melissa in Mel's World
xoxo
"Because He Lives" is my favorite old hymn...and my favorite contemporary praise is "Mighty to Save" by HillsongsUnited.
congrats on your success...love your blogs and your insights of His Word.
Hey there Linda. I found you through Linda at second cup. I would love to be included in your drawing. I enjoy reading the history of the hymns. The first hymn that stuck in my mind is hymn #3 (at least in my previous church's hymn book) and that is....drum roll please...Worthy of Worship.
However, I also like Because He Lives as skoots said. If you gave me a hymn book, though, I just might change my mind or rather say I can't pick just one and I'd say this one, oh, that one. I love hymns but I also love chorus and contemporary music played at church.
I'll mark you as a favorite and be back.
Paula
Congrats! It really is cool how there is a community of sorts. Its just the tiniest bit of heaven, enjoying and having so much in common with perfect strangers. Someday we will all meet!
One of my favorites is "Great is Thy Faithfulness"
Congrats! I found you through Becoming Me...I'm gonna have to add you both to my bloglines and come back. I feel the same way about starting a blog. I thought, "is anyone reading this?" But no matter if just one or 100, I thoroughly enjoy it and am often inspired and encouraged by what I read out here!
Have a great weekend!
sheila
I would have counted too.
CONGRATULATIONS! 100! WOO HOO!
You GO Girl!
Way to go!! I'm with you, girl, I can't get enough of all this blogging...but even more, I love being encouraged by so many women. God is truly good. It's amazing how He can use the internet to touch so many lives.
As for Robert Morgan, you can go to www.bhpublishinggroup.com and download his newest book....The Promise based on Roms. *:28...the entire book. I pray that I can make the kind of impact that you have.
