Oh. My.
We've been at 100 or 101 degrees for 5 out of the 8 days of June thus far in our fair city.
But I just checked the weather at Rocky Mountain National Park, where my guys are camping tonight on their way to Yellowstone. As I type this, it is 27 degrees there. With a 30 mph wind, making it feel like 11. Yes, they are in a tent. Boy Scouts don't believe in cabins.
And the forecast for Yellowstone this week? A 40-60% chance of "snow showers" 3 of the 5 days they are there.
I'm sure Kelly thinks this is hilarious. I, on the other hand, am no longer concerned about "black" bears - I think polar bears seem more likely!
My bed is going to feel awfully nice tonight!

I'll admit to a slight giggle. But truthfully, I bet your guys will have great time. Men love adversity -- and those conditions are adverse!
And just to highlight the differences between your state and mine -- we've only cross the 80-degree threshold three times in 2008. THREE! I love to swim, so I'm dying here. Those 100+ temps are looking mighty fine to me.
Too funny. Ugh...I'd rather be hot than cold, although both extremes make me cranky
The heat is almost unbearable. But it wasn't that long ago I was complaining about the cold. Go figure.

Wow! But at least they get to enjoy a nice, warm fire in the middle of the summer. That's kind of cool too!

I'd much rather have the heat than the cold!
they will have so much fun in yellowstone!! we were there many years ago in the month of august and woke up to icicles in the edge of our tent in the mornings!!!
I wish I was there now. Between my personal hot flashes and the 88-degree weather...I burning up. Give me a cool mountain breeze any day.
Wow, what a trip for your guys! While I'm not too sure about the whole tent deal, I think I'd prefer the cold to the HOT and HUMID! I asked my husband yesterday how much longer until fall!
