I have loved the group Selah for years. Many of you are aware of the hearbreak experienced by their lead singer Todd Smith & his wife Angie in the loss of their precious baby girl Audrey Caroline in April of 2008. Just a few weeks later, Todd's sister Nicol Sponberg (who had previously sung with Todd in Selah) & her husband Greg buried their 10-week-old son, Luke.
Selah has released a brand new CD, You Deliver Me, that is incredible. This song was a late addition to it and is beautiful beyond words. You may have heard a sneak peek on Angie's blog back in April. Todd speaks of their journey and the powerful message of this song before the group sings it.
UNREDEEMED
The cruelest world
The coldest heart
The deepest wound
The endless dark
The lonely ache
The burning tears
The bitter nights
The wasted years
Life breaks and falls apart
But we know these are
Places where grace is
Soon to be so amazing
It may be unfulfilled
It may be unrestored
But when anything that's shattered
Is laid before the Lord
Just watch and see
It will not be
Unredeemed
For every choice that led to shame
And all the love that never came
For every vow that someone broke
And every lie that gave up hope
We live in the shadow of the fall
But the cross says these are all
Places where grace is
Soon to be so amazing
It may be unfulfilled
It may be unrestored
But when anything that's shattered
Is laid before the Lord
Just watch and see
It will not be
Unredeemed
Places where grace is
Soon to be so amazing
It may be unfulfilled
It may be unrestored
But you never know the miracle
The Father has in store
Just watch and see
It will not be
Just watch and see
It will not be
Unredeemed

Linda...our hearts on the same page this week...I have heard this song in my head everyday and posted it, too...I love the message it gives....
I love Selah too, Linda. That is so sad about the little babies. Thanks for posting that great song.
What a beautiful message. Thanks for sharing this song.
I've loved this group for years. You Deliver Me is my favorite from the CD, but this one is beautiful too. I work for the company that has the priviledge of publishing their story, its due to come out next Spring.
beautiful lyrics. Selah is a wonderful group.
I do not understand how people with no faith survive such blows. As Christians, we can hope for "beauty from ashes". The music of Selah helps sustain such hope.
I remember hearing this a while back at Angie's. Even folks who haven't had such devastation in their lives need to remember these things. All the wrong turns we've made, all the bad choices... God will redeem them if we turn them over to Him.
I am so encouraged by this post. I was just crying and calling out to the LORD this morning for HOPe!! thank you so much! I am emailing this page to some of my close friends!
Grace to you
Nicole
I knew there was a reason why I love this group. I need to purchase a CD. I just have clips from a WOW CD. Thanks for posting this.

I love the group Selah. I knew the lead singer had lost his baby but did not know his sister had also. The words have such meaning. Thank you for posting all of the words too Linda.
I love Selah's music. Wonderful song!
Blessings Linda...Such an awesome and powerful message not just in the message of the song but Selah's beautiful CD & Todd's testimony in the face of their losses! I guess we must have needed this song because it's a double blessing this TSMSS!
Always good to hear the LORD speak through the music! Love Selah too!
Peace and happy TSMSS!
