Random is as Random Dozen

If it's Wednesday, then it's time to be random, thanks to Lidna at 2nd Cup of Coffee!

1. When was the last time you craved a food--what was it, and did you cave?

Um, that would be just yesterday, when I craved my coffee and some breakfast but had to fast for a scan. And I persevered.

2. M & M's or Skittles?

M & M's. Hands down, no contest.

3. Have you ever read the Bible completely through?

I've come really close, but I think I missed a couple of Minor Prophets and some of I & II Chronicles where it duplicates I & II Kings. I'm working on the Bible in 90 Days right now. Not because I'm an overchiever, but because I'm more likely to stick with it for a shorter time period. And I was convicted how much time I spend reading books and not nearly enough reading the Bible.

4. How long does it take you to really wake up in the morning?

Maybe 10 or 15 minutes. Once I wash my face I'm mostly there. Not chipper, but awake!

5. Have you ever been on a cruise? If not, would you like to?

No. Yes. But it's not at the top of my list, and my husband has no interest.

6. Who is your favorite actress?

Julie Andrews.

7. ______ is something that I will just never understand.

Quantum physics. Piercings anywhere but the earlobe. And the mind of God.

8. How much of a technology junkie are you?

I guess it averages out to moderate. It depends on who is setting the bar: a computer geek would roll his/her eyes at me, but compared to many of my real-life friends, I'm pretty high.

9. Do you enjoy selecting greeting cards for people, or is it more of a cultural "have to" for you?

Hallmark has always been my weakness. I've forced myself to stay farther away from them since I've been a SAHM, but I used to spend way too much time and money in there!

10. When was the last time you got a new style/haircut?

Funny you should ask. I have a haircut appointment tomorrow, so the last one was a little more than 5 weeks ago! We tweaked my style just a tad back in the fall, but I have had the same basic haircut for years. Yeah, I'm boring that way. But hair is where my introverted side kicks in - changing styles draws too much attention!

11. What do you enjoy shopping for most?

Lately, nothing because I need to lose some weight. Otherwise I guess it would be clothes. Oh, and I love getting little gifts for friends "just because." Unfortunately, the "love to" is bigger than the "can afford."

12. What's the last thing you think of before you leave the house?

Kinda simultaneously: have I used the bathroom, do I have my phone, and are the lights out?

Yep, I'm with you on the shopping. I listed books, because it doesn't matter what you weigh. Clothes are fun when I'm in a smaller size. Working on that, but not there yet.

I think we should plan a blogging cruise!!! wouldn't that be fun?!

love Julie andrews and Alyssa and I watched the sound of music over the holidays together...we sang all the songs at the top of our lungs....my husband and boys left the room!

A blogging cruise would be fun with the computers at home. A cruise is the most relaxing, no-stress vacations you'll ever have.

LOVE peanut M&M's and showy haircuts. That's where the extrovert beats down the introvert in me. hahaha.

Hugs!

I couldn't think of any favorite actresses and the last 2 "Random Dozens" reminded of 2 that I love. I LOVE Julie Andrews! Also, I think Sandra Bullock is awesome!

If you ever have a few minutes to spare, let me know and I'll explain Quantum Physics to you....uhh

I plan to do this meme when I get home from work tonight. I love coffee too and crave it on days I need to fast for blood work. Thankfully, my health is good enough that that only happens once or twice a year. I enjoyed reading your answers!

I am going over to check out the Bible in 90days...maybe that I can do! Thanks! Right with you on the M&M's...yum-o!

UGH! I can't even imagine reading the Bible through in 90 days! I'm going to stretch my One-Year into two! I want to enjoy it! I DO stand convicted that I read more books than I do the Bible. I need to change that too! BUT... most of the books I read ARE Bible STUDIES! Or devotions. I only read a "little" fiction! I AM glad to see you giving away "For Women Only" - which my husband bought for me for Christmas 2 years ago! I have read that - and "For Men Only" -- which I then gave to him! LOL! They are excellent books! I did a lengthy post on them!

I can NOT believe we both said Julie Andrews for #6! I so didn't expect to find her listed anywhere else today! :)

My funds never match my "love to buy for others" either. Sigh.

I'm convicted too that I spend way more time reading novels than I do God's Word.

great answers! I can really relate to your answer about reading the Bible all the way thru :)

I think everyone I've read so far has preferred M&Ms. Yea for chocolate!

I agree on #7, and we're alike on greeting cards and hair styles, too.

Funny how I used to ask my kids "have you gone to the bathroom" as we left the house and now I have to ask myself.

Good answers!

And the Bible App I have is TouchBible - the free version. I don't mind paying for a better version, but I'm like you - not sure which one will be best...so post it if you find it!

m & m's are leaving skittles in the dust on today's random : )

I'm with you on Hallmark...I love cards-giving and getting.

Hope your scan went well...my husband had a procedure today and was fasting. All he has talked about since yesterday morning is a cheeseburger. His procedure went fine but he's only allowed a light dinner tonite...chicken and noodles it is. Its not a cheeseburger but at least its solid food.

#4 - if it's cold, it makes me sleepier and it's so hard to make myself get out from under the covers!

>I find it, I snuggle up under my covers, with fuzzy socks on, so I'm really warm, and then halfway through the night I take my socks off, then in the morning I wake up and my nose is cold, that the warm shower keeps me motivated :)

Great answers but I am not sick, LOL. I am just a morning person.

Looks like M&Ms are winning, hands down :-) I think the RD bunch are all chocoholics!

My hair style has been pretty static for years too. I go back and forth between really, really short and just plain short. lol

I used to have simultaneous thoughts too. Then I hit this fun stage called the "change of life" and I'm doing good to have single thoughts. lol

Fun answers!

Of all the random dozens I've read today I've yet to find anyone who would choose skittles over m&ms.

I'm trying to lose weight too and I hate shopping when trying to lose weight, which is why I love to shop for music and books instead.

Oh I adore Julie Andrews. I get excited anytime I see her in an upcoming movie.

After reading about M&Ms many times I now want some :) ha!

Fun stuff, as usual. I totally forgot about the bathroom question as I leave. I do that, too.
