MY THOUGHTS

Wow. Lynette Eason's suspense novels always make my heart pound, but she has set a new bar with this conclusion to her Deadly Reunions series. When a Secret Kills opens with a bang-literally!-and about the time I caught my breath, I found myself holding it again as the point of view changed to the one whose vendetta against Jillian kept her in the cross-hairs of his hired killer's gun. Few authors can make me read with one eye open like Eason does. So many elements set this novel apart from the average suspense. I couldn't decide which scenes had more tension - those in which Jillian was desperately trying to stay a step ahead of the killer or the interactions between Jillian and Colton, which were laced with a whole 'nother kind of adrenaline! Be prepared to stay up late to finish this one and then sleep with the light on; just don't miss this gripping novel! I can't wait to see what Lynette Eason has planned for her next series!
