ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Melody Carlson has written more than 200 books for teens, women, and children. Before publishing, Melody traveled around the world, volunteered in teen ministry, taught preschool, raised two sons, and worked briefly in interior design and later in international adoption. “I think real-life experiences inspire the best fiction,” she says. Her wide variety of books seem to prove this theory.

MY THOUGHTS:
I love it when books in a series are released close together; when they are a year apart I tend to forget some of the details of the previous book. Melody Carlson's new On the Runway series is releasing on a quick timetable, and my girl will be happy as well! I reviewed Premiere last week. Catwalk is book #2 and it is even better than the first one. I loved the portrayal of the relationship between sisters Paige and Erin Forrester. And Erin's struggles to come to grips with her widowed mom dating are so authentic, as is her wrestling with what being a Christian means in practical terms in her everyday life. And what fun to see some characters from Melody Carlson's previous Carter House Girls series appear in this book! I'm looking forward to soon-to-be-released book #3, Rendezvous, as well as book #4, Spotlight, which will hit the runway in October.AND NOW...THE FIRST CHAPTER:
