I've always loved this song. It's such fun to listen to and even more fun to sing! I love the piano accompaniment and the dynamics. And of course, the lyrics are wonderful - He Never Failed Me Yet! This choir does an incredible job with this song. Some of the groups I listened to sing this song painfully slow, while others sing it so fast that I felt like I was on a runaway train!
HE NEVER FAILED ME YET
Words and Music by Robert Ray
I will sing of God’s mercy,
Every day, every hour, He gives me power.
I will sing and give thanks to Thee
For all the dangers, toils and snares
That He has brought me out.
He is my God and I’ll serve Him,
No matter what the test.
Trust and never doubt,
Jesus will surely bring you out,
He never failed me yet.
I will sing of God’s mercy,
Every day, every hour, He gives me power.
I will sing and give thanks to Thee
For all the dangers, toils and snares
That He has brought me out.
He is my God and I’ll serve Him,
No matter what the test.
Trust and never doubt,
Jesus will surely bring you out,
He never failed me yet.
I know God is able to deliver in time of storm.
And I know that He’ll keep you
Safe from all earthly harm.
One day when my weary soul is at rest,
I’m going home to be forever blessed.
Trust and never doubt,
Jesus will surely bring you out,
He never failed me yet.
I will sing of God’s mercy,
Every day, every hour, He gives me power.
I will sing and give thanks to Thee
For all the dangers, toils and snares
That He has brought me out.
He is my God and I’ll serve Him,
No matter what the test.
Trust and never doubt,
Jesus will surely bring you out,
He never failed me yet.
Didn’t my God deliver Moses from King Pharaoh?
And didn’t He cool the fiery furnace
For Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego?
When I think of what my God can do,
He delivered Daniel,
I know He will deliver you.
Trust and never doubt,
Jesus will surely bring you out,
He never failed me yet.
I will sing of God’s mercy,
Every day, every hour, He gives me power.
I will sing and give thanks to Thee
For all the dangers, toils and snares
That He has brought me out.
He is my God and I’ll serve Him,
No matter what the test.
Trust and never doubt,
Jesus will surely bring you out,
He never failed me yet.

AMEN!!
What a great reminder! Thanks!!
Oh, I love this one!!!! SO TRUE!!! Thanks for sharing it.
I love this song and the words. This choir does a great job too. However, whenever I hear this song I think of Ruby Brown who sings this song so uniquely at my church. I'll have to see if they have a video of Ruby singing it and post it one day.
Blessings and love,
Debbie
Great uplifting song. Have a blessed weekend!!!

What a great peppy song. Love it! The choir does such a great job.
I love love this song, I conducted it for both our church's 50th anniversary and for my conducting syllabus. Although I have to say you probably would have considered our rendition slightly too fast because I felt this group was far too slow. Oh well, to each his own. A lot of it depends on how the soloist feels the music anyways. Thanks for posting one of my favorites.
first time i heard of this song. love the lyrics. funny but this sounded like a christmas song to me. i don't know why. =D

Thanks so much for sharing that great song, Linda. I had not heard it before.
Thank you so much for posting this. My children sang this song in choir in High School and the Lord brought the words to my mind this morning to encourage me. It was so nice to be able to actually hear the song again.
